Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations and pain management procedures.
- Prepare patients for injections, nerve blocks, and other pain management treatments.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any changes in condition.
- Prepare, clean, and restock examination and procedure rooms while maintaining infection prevention and sterilization standards.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and discharge instructions as directed by the provider.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Travel to assigned healthcare facilities and quickly adapt to new clinical environments and workflows.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical, outpatient, or pain management setting is preferred.
- Ability to travel for temporary assignments and work flexible schedules.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
