Position Summary:
Responsible for providing full support to the medical provider(s) in carrying out the patient medical treatment plan while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. This position will also provide front-office and receptionist support, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with daily clinic operations.
Essential Functions:
Receptionist/Front Office Duties:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Check patients in and out and assist with front-office paperwork
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
- Assist with general office organization and basic housekeeping
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
Medical Assistant Duties:
- Rooming patients
- Entering visit information into EMR
- Patient assessments (Subjective SOAP)
- Maintain exam room appearance and restock rooms at the end of each clinic day
- Monitor biohazard and sharps containers and replace as needed
- Taking patient vitals
- Medication assessment
- Allergy testing
- Blood draws
- Dispensing DME
- IM and SQ injections
- Coordinating RXs
- Assisting with APL
- Medical supply inventory
- Schedule preparation
- Basic housekeeping
Education and Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant license/experience is preferred but not required
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Venipuncture experience
- Previous receptionist or medical front-office experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Bilingual required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment
- Knowledge of EMR systems preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
