This position reports to the Pre-Press &New Item Setup Manager.  The Manufacturing Designer will be responsible for completing various tasks in order to produce a finished model, graphic or product in the most efficient manor. This position requires a high level of accuracy, quality and proficiency of work in a busy atmosphere.  Ability to work on your own, develop, and be a self-starter.  This position is a fulltime salaried position.

Essential Functions:

• Interprets package design engineering documents and prepares bill of material lists and specifications to be used as instruction by plant employees, machine operators or contracting personnel in manufacturing and or assembly activities
• Analyzes and creates instructions and specifications
• Makes notes on material processing to determine materials and material converting specifications, or directions for assembly fulfillment
• Writes technical descriptions specifying material qualities and properties, utilizing knowledge of material, industry standards, manufacturing capabilities and manufacturing procedures
• Create 3D drawings or arrange drawings or photographs to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequenced instruction.
• Creates and or adapts CAD specification drawings to increase manufacturing capabilities and efficiencies.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED required. Some college preferrred
• Computer skills: Working in multiple systems, some CAD experience helpful, 3D, Adobe Acrobat, WebCenter, ASI, Excel
• Time management skills

• Previous experience in a corrugated, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred, but not required

• Ability to manage work load with various distractions
• Must have a high sense of urgency while managing multiple projects
• Candidate must have a general inquisitiveness, strong desire to learn, and high problem solving aptitude

• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills, excellent customer relation skills, and well-developed presentation skills.
