This position is full-time with a flexible schedule. Morning, evening, and weekend hours are available. A candidate looking to start part-time would also be considered. The ideal candidate will have strong orthopedic manual skills or an ardent desire to learn from a seasoned team of Physical Therapists.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
Current or eligible for Maryland State Physical Therapy Assistant License
At least 1 year of full-time experience in a clinical setting
Special Interest in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy
Current BLS and CPR Certification
Entrepreneurial go-getter/self-starter spirit
Must be familiar with the typical use and functions of the computer such as usernames and password concepts: internet; email; navigation of the computer desktop
Education:
Associate degree for Physical Therapist Assistant
Current of eligible for PTA license in State of Maryland
Job Responsibilities:
Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist in an outpatient setting
Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.
Administers individualized treatment programs for patients
Completes documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services
Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
Adhere to legal and ethical standards
Complies with all federal, state, local, and insurance-based rules, and regulations
Provides hands on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities
Collaborates with colleagues to optimize care
Utilizes EMR (Electronic Medical Record) for documentation, reporting, and data collection
Physical Demands:
Ability to fulfill activities but not limited to remain stationary for extended periods of time, stoop/kneel/crouch, travel around the office, communicate with others (verbal and written), and use fine motor skills including keyboarding.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
