Job Summary: The Optometrist will exam the eyes and other parts of the visual system.

- Diagnose and treat visual problems.
- Manage diseases, injuries and other disorders of the eyes.
- Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed.
- Assist Ophthalmologist as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers on continuum of care for patients as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Participate in best practices and quality initiatives when delivering advanced care.
- Adhere to ethical standards of conduct as well as applicable state and federal laws.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the clinical care team and demonstrate respect for all colleagues.
- Security patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Follow HIPAA protocols.
- Follow all PMA policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
Schedule:- Successful completion of a Doctor of Optometry degree program.
- Licensed as an Optometrist in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday (7:30am - 4:00pm) Schedule is subject to change.
