Medical Scribe

An internal medicine practice located in McAllen, TX is seeking an experienced and reliable Medical Scribe for a full-time position. Our Medical Scribe will work under the supervision of the MD in the exam room to record detailed information in the electronic medical record. Other duties related to the medical record will be required to maintain efficiency, and, effectiveness, and increase productivity. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and great at multitasking.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Must have experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
• Experience with all duties within the scope of a medical scribe (assembling medical records, compliance, communication, prescription refills).
• Communicates with patient and physician(s) in a professional manner.
• Recording patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
• Acts as an assistant to the physician(s) and collects information from the patient during their visit.
• Works with the physician(s) to complete and submit medical records.
• Respecting patient confidentiality at all times.
• Assisting with phones and front office as needed.

Minimum requirements:

• One – two years’ experience as a medical scribe
• Highly proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, Practice Management Software, and Electronic Medical Records.
• Experience with eCW a plus.

SCHEDULE:

· 8-hour shift

• McAllen, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• eCW: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical Scribe: 1 year (Required)
