What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mohs Histo Tech position at Premier Medical Associates (PMA)?
The Mohs Histotechnician prepares tissue specimens for microscopic examination and diagnostic interpretation. Additional clinical duties may be assigned to persons employed in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Tissue processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and coverslipping
- Perform cutting of control slides
- Match slides with requisitions, double checking for accuracy
- Identify and document technical issues, quality assurance, and procedural improvements
- Use, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, and keep a clean, disinfected work space
- Receive, log in CLIA, and document patient specimens and accompanying forms
Experience:
- Prefer 1 year minimum histo tech experience
- Medical assistant experience is a bonus as hybrid positions available
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
