What are the responsibilities and job description for the Martial Arts Instructor position at Premier Martial Arts of Elgin?
If so, we are looking for both full-time and part-time instructors for our studio in South Elgin.
Overview:
Premier Martial Arts of Fox Valley (PMA) is embarking on a journey to impact the lives of children (and adults) in the Fox Valley area.
- Instruct classes in a high-energy, “edutainment” format using PMA’s proven methodology.
- Oversee student ranking, tracking/reporting, belt testing, and graduations.
- Serve as a role model, standard-bearer, and character educator for our students.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students and their families.
- Assist with management of the studio (class schedules, supplies, and merchandise ordering).
- Conduct introduction classes for large groups in local community settings.
- Ensure the studio is clean (daily sanitizing) and upholds the PMA brand standards.
- Complete ongoing PMA skills training and instructional learning on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal development and growth.
- Assist the Sales Manager with marketing and lead generation programs.
- Achieve membership upgrade goals and student retention goals.
- Develop relationships with community leaders and local educators in the school district.
- Represent PMA at promotional activities and special events.
- Participate and lead regional PMA tournaments.
- Blackbelt AND 3 years of instructional experience in martial arts
- Interest and passion in childhood development is a must.
- Growth mindset: Must be willing to receive and implement feedback rapidly
- Available evenings and weekends.
- Must complete a successful background check.
- Monday-Friday 8am-9pm
- Saturday & Sunday 8am-4pm
