BASIC FUNCTION:
Provides leadership to a team of employees that are responsible for the maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, tools and support equipment to realize a company profit. The safety of that team and maintaining a high level of housekeeping is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must maintain and Supervise LOTO culture all the time.
- Supervise parts room staff
- Organize Parts room with lean principals
- Identify Obsolete components and coordinate with OEM for upgrades
- Expedite all emergency parts and repair services to eliminate machine downtime
- Maintain open PO report in accordance to Vision to maximize vendor credits
- Evaluate equipment and maintenance requirements, document maintenance procedures
- Work with production scheduling to set PM schedule of equipment
- Assign number of mechanics needed and timeline of PM
- Assist operational excellence to streamline processes as required
- Utilize 4DX to improve shop and maintenance activities
- Cover for Maintenance Manager when unavailable
- Assist on Plant Start-ups and Shutdowns
PM/PdM Leader
- Organize and supervise a PM technical crew, supervise all the PM activities and evaluate equipment and maintenance requirements, document maintenance procedures
- Organize and coordinate activities with PdM contractors to complete schedule PdM services during the year cycle, document maintenance procedures
- Manage maintenance work flow processes required to maintain an accurate maintenance database (Work Orders, Part Consumption and PM/PdM Sheets)
- Review and adjust Maintenance paperwork to be BRC compliant.
- Maintain data within SAP—track maintenance work order status, preventive maintenance (PM) performance
- Create reports as it pertains to machine downtime and part consumption

PROJECTS AND SPECIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate, organize and complete specific jobs that’s require personal supervision and hand support to the maintenance teamChrome roll change, bearings replacement, heaters and die services, acid flush, etc.
Conveyor and machinery relocation as part of the projects
Improve process that include machinery upgrade (Mechanically and Electrically)
Utilities machinery assistance during annual PM’s
Coordinate activities when a contractor is supporting heavy jobs
SAP support
- Assist with production work order consumptions
- On-site SAP training
- Maintain parts room inventory through SAP inventory control of in-line machines
- Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders using SAP
- Analyze min/max quantities and schedule Spare parts
- Identify Critical Parts to maintain machine up-time.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must be strong in Microsoft Windows, Power Point, Excel, Word and high skill to create reports and graphics.
- An in-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical process.
- Knowledge of Thermoforming and Extrusion of plastics is also preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of electrical circuits and controllers, including troubleshooting of AC-DC-PLC AB, OPTO, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Servo-Motors, Fanuc Controls, motor drive Yaskawa, AB, ABB, Siemens, Etc.
- Ability to read and work from prints, both mechanical and electrical.
- Has the knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop tools.
- Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root cause of problems.
- Must be capable of bending and lifting tool parts and machine equipment up to fifty pounds
- Able to push, pull or carry light loads.
- Bilingual Spanish a Plus

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
