Full time Landscape Lighting Installer

Season is from March through December. Low hours during January and February. Bonus is paid in July depending on employee performance and company performance. Tips in about a third of the jobs.

We design, install and service low voltage outdoor/landscape lighting systems.

We are looking for a reliable person who is hardworking, dedicated and loves to work outdoors to join our 30-year-old company.

Electrical experience or training is needed to move up in pay. Other relevant experience that is helpful for this job: landscaping, landscape lighting, irrigation.

Pay is commensurate with experience. Bonus is available at the discretion of the company based on employee performance and reliability. Employees that demonstrate commitment to the company and bring value to the company will be rewarded.

Requirements:

- Must enjoy working outside (rain or shine). We work outside all year round. Be prepared for cold and hot weather.

- Must be proficient in working with hand and power tools.

- Must be physically able to do light trenching work, constant kneeling and standing is a job requirement. You must be physically able to do the work. If you have weak knees or bad back don't apply. This job is physical.

- Electrical work experience or electrical training is needed and your level of electrical understanding will increase your pay. If you can understand electricity and how it works, if you understand how to connect lighting fixtures, wiring, etc. you can also work on the maintenance side of the business, which has more tips.

- Self-motivated and reliable. High season is busy and we expect consistent performance and attendance during that time. If you can't consistently show up to work, this job is not for you. We start sharp at 6:30AM and end around 3:00PM. The rest of the day is yours.

- Able to work alone, with minimal supervision. After training is completed you will be driving your own van and working alone, if you demonstrate you are capable.

- Driver license with clean record is a deal breaker. We do background checks on all applicants for insurance purposes.

- We require and check references. So if you do not have references to share do not apply to this job.

- Can follow directions from more experienced co-workers and is able to quickly learn the job. You will be training for at least a year, depending on your ability to learn.

- Has a pleasant personality and can interact respectfully with customers. Good communication skills to talk to customers to explain work performed.

- Must be trustworthy and honest. The company treats employees as family and expects same from employees.

- Must be resourceful and creative to be able to resolve field issues.
