Position Overview

The PLL is seeking to hire a Vice President of Ticketing to lead all activity related to ticket sales. This person will oversee sales strategy, sales operations and sales execution. Key to the success of this role is finding a metrics driven leader who can identify and implement strategies to maximize output of the sales team and generate growth in paid tickets and overall revenue. This person will be goaled against the league’s ticket revenue and attendance figures, and will have direct management over group sales, single-day ticket sales, premium sales, season pass sales, ticket operations and local market initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entirety of the PLL’s ticketing business (Sales, Strategy and Operations)
  • Work with Strategy team to develop team structure, pricing, and packages to put the league in best position to grow attendance and revenue
  • Grow PLL’s Group Sales business by implementing best practices across prospecting, training, scripting, and identifying key metrics to drive success
  • Work with Premiums team to maximize opportunities and sell-through of suites and other high-end experiential offerings
  • Establish ticket ops best practices that will create a seamless experience for fans (including working hand-in-hand with League’s ticketing partner)

Qualifications

  • 8 years experience working in a professional sports ticketing organization
  • 4 years of direct management experience
  • Analytical mindset and approach to both ticket sales and team development
  • Critical thinker with the ability to problem-solve complex challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with ability to follow through without supervision and manage multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills, high EQ
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator

Compensation

  • $150-$175k Base (w/ Bonus Upside)
  • Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and location
  • The total compensation package includes Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
