Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and catheter care.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection and processing.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while documenting medical records accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical areas including IV infusion, medication administration, catheterization, and wound care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology).
- Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-patient interactions and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Commitment to patient safety protocols including infection control practices and sterile techniques; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid required.
