Job Title: Senior Property Manager
Property Assignment: Yorktown Continental Apartments
Job Location: Edina, MN
Salary Range: $60,000-$72,000 per year
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Property Manager to join our team. This role is essential for managing daily operations to ensure our apartment communities remain fiscally sound, well-maintained, and socially healthy. As a leader within our organization, you will provide guidance to staff and serve as a vital resource for other properties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision: Supervise, train, and evaluate staff, including Assistant Property Managers and Janitorial teams.
- Financial Management: Operate properties within budgeted income and expense guidelines while meeting benchmarks for rent collections and occupancy.
- Operational Excellence: Review and code invoices, obtain bids for contract services, and supervise the purchase of maintenance and office supplies.
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and local laws, including staying updated on Fair Housing regulations.
- Property Maintenance: Conduct regular property walks to ensure cleanliness, order, and adherence to maintenance standards.
- Marketing & Leasing: Implement comprehensive marketing strategies to meet vacancy standards and manage the selection and screening of new residents.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, specifically within Affordable Housing (Section 8 / LIHTC) and Senior Housing projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Yardi software, EZ Labor, and Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel).
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel with your own transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for relationship building with residents, owners, and outside agencies.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and enter data into a computer.
- Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, and show apartments in various weather conditions.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
