About the Residential Care Aide Role:
- Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support residents with medication management, mealtime assistance, and mobility needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care transitions
- Assist with evening meal service and resident care activities
- Monitor resident vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident care and services
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging
