Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Know and support the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Nursing Department and Deer Meadows Retirement Community as a whole.
• Assign resident care responsibilities to nursing personnel based on resident’s needs, available staff and unit needs.
• Collaborate, communicate and cooperate with other health care providers to ensure quality care, including transcribing physician's orders according to facility procedures.
• Continually observe/monitor and evaluate quality, quantity and timeliness of nursing care.
• Responsible for evaluating work performance evaluations of direct subordinates.
• Responsible for applying disciplinary action when appropriate.
  
  
  

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the PA State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Must currently be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the PA State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing, medical practices and procedures.
• Knowledgeable of all legal regulations, guidelines and best practices that pertain to long-term care.
• Possess supervisory leadership skills and the capability to develop staff.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
