Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and assisting in the diagnosis of patients in a Level II Trauma Center setting. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology, along with proficiency in operating CT equipment. The CT Technologist will play a crucial role in patient care, ensuring safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans on patients as per physician orders while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting any issues that may arise during scanning.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the imaging area to promote a safe environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques relevant to CT scans.
- Assist in training new staff members or students as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CT Technologist or similar role in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of X-Ray, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and emergency medicine practices.
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology procedures and medical terminology.
- Comprehensive understanding of physiology and anatomy knowledge pertinent to imaging.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively.
