Job Summary
The Accounting Manager supports accounting operations across a multi-entity healthcare practice, helping ensure accurate and timely GAAP financial reporting.
This position reports to the Controller and is designed for a high-performing accounting professional seeking continued growth. As the organization scales, this role is expected to take on increasing responsibility, with potential advancement roles over time.
Responsibilities
● Support the monthly close process, with ownership of accrual builds and reconciliation preparation across entities.
● Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
● Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
● Maintain the books and records using QuickBooks as the accounting ERP.
● Assist with audit preparation and support, coordinating documentation and requests.
● Support process improvements to streamline accounting workflow, procedures, checklists, and financial controls — including the use of AI to build more efficient processes.
● Help maintain consistent accounting practices across all entities.
● Ad-hoc reporting to support management requests and other departments.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an Accredited University; CPA preferred.
● 5-8 years of accounting experience in a corporation or startup company, including hands-on close and reconciliation experience.
● Strong foundation in GAAP, accruals, and financial reporting.
● Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
● Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with the ability to streamline workflows and maintain clear, reliable financial records.
Experience
● Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required.
● Multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred.
