In this full-time role, you will review complex tax returns, research tax issues, and maintain client relationships while ensuring compliance with current tax regulations. THE VITAL ROLE YOU HAVE:
Your work schedule is 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday, and as an Experienced Tax Specialist, your days are centered on ensuring precision and compliance. You'll be entrusted with reviewing individual, business, and nonprofit tax returns, meticulously ensuring their accuracy and adherence to current tax laws. Your expertise will be called upon as you research complex tax issues, offering critical technical guidance to both clients and junior team members. You'll cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and the timely completion of all tax deliverables. Furthermore, you will play a key role in assisting with tax planning strategies and year-end tax preparation for a diverse range of clients, all while providing mentorship to junior staff.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A REMOTE EXPERIENCED TAX SPECIALIST:
You might be perfect for this position if you can also meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3 years of public accounting tax experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential
- Experience with Drake Tax Software
- Advanced knowledge of individual and business tax law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
