Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Aide to join our team. The Activities Aide will assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational programs and events for our residents, ensuring activities are engaging, inclusive, and suited to their abilities and interests. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in planning and implementing daily recreational programs, special events, and outings.
· Encourage resident participation and provide support during activities.
· Set up and clean up activity areas and materials.
· Help adapt activities to meet the needs of residents with varying abilities.
· Provide feedback to the Activity Director on resident participation.
· Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to foster a sense of community.
· Ensure safety and well-being of residents during all activities.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in activities, recreation, or working with seniors preferred but not required.
· Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
