Role Description This full-time, on-site Fire Alarm Technician role is based in Washington. The Fire Alarm Technician installs, tests, programs, and maintains fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial and residential properties. Daily responsibilities include performing inspections, diagnosing system issues, completing repairs, and documenting all work in compliance with NFPA and local codes. The role also involves coordinating with project teams, communicating with customers about system status and recommendations, and responding to service calls and scheduled maintenance. The technician is expected to follow established safety procedures and support a culture of reliability and professionalism.
Qualifications

  • Strong technical abilities in low voltage engineering and fire alarm systems, including installation, programming, and configuration.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of alarm systems and related components.
  • Solid understanding of life safety principles, NFPA standards, and local AHJ requirements.
  • Effective customer service skills, including clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to explain technical issues in accessible terms.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses for fire alarm work (such as NICET 2, FA-1, and 06 Electrical or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with commercial and residential fire protection systems and reading technical drawings or schematics.
  • Ability to work safely on-site, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational training or technical education in electronics or fire protection is a plus.
