What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Analyst position at Premier Financial Search?
We're hiring a Client Portfolio Analyst to join a sophisticated, LA-based investment manager and multi-generational single-family office to support ultra-high-net-worth client portfolios. This role partners closely with the executive leadership team and offers exposure across portfolio analytics, reporting, and investment operations. Ideal for someone with strong quantitative skills who wants meaningful responsibility early and enjoys building tools, models, and client-ready materials.
Responsibilities:
- Track portfolio performance, risk exposures, and asset allocation across client portfolios
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to support investment decision-making
- Design and maintain reporting that supports senior leadership and client communication
- Maintain models, analytics, and dashboards (e.g., Addepar and similar platforms) with internal and external partners
- Build analytic tools to support portfolio construction, sizing, and asset allocation recommendations
- Develop and maintain client balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and liquidity analyses
- Support investment operations and cash flow forecasting (capital calls, distributions, commitment monitoring, documentation)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in a family office, investment manager, wealth manager, or investment consulting setting
- Strong analytical and quantitative skillset with high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with endowment, foundation, and/or family office portfolios preferred
- Familiarity with performance/reporting or accounting platforms (Addepar or similar) a plus
