Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace environment that is aligned with our Core Values. In this role, you will oversee all facets of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. The HR Manager also does formal recruitment, maintains confidential employee files and ensures that all employees receive their wages on time.
Responsibilities
- Enforce HR policies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws such as OSHA and FMLA regulations.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts by managing sourcing strategies, conducting interviews, and overseeing onboarding processes.
- Oversee employee orientation/ onboarding programs and performance evaluations.
- Manage employee relations by addressing conflicts promptly through effective conflict management techniques and fostering a positive, hostile-free work environment.
- Work with CFO to review benefit options and administer benefits programs including health insurance, workers' compensation, payroll processing (using Paylocity), and retirement plans while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on organizational goals and strategies related to staffing, recruitment and retention.
- Recruit for staff position vacancies, place ads, vet resumes, set up interviews.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards by implementing OSHA guidelines and managing workers' compensation claims effectively.
- Respond to all unemployment paperwork requests.
- Maintain all employee files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management with a minimum of 5 years experience as an HR Generalist.
- SHRM course completion and / or certification a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, FMLA compliance, and workers' compensation procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition strategies, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to details.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
