Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to run conduit, pull wire, and install electrical components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols related to low voltage and high voltage electrical work in compliance with NEC standards.
- Support the setup of low voltage systems including communication lines and security wiring.
- Participate in construction activities such as framing carpentry when needed to facilitate electrical installations.
Skills
- One year experience or familiarity with service, residential or commercial electrical systems is a plus.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring and basic electrical theory; understanding of high voltage safety practices.
- Experience working on construction sites with an emphasis on safety and teamwork.
- Ability to operate testing equipment like voltmeters, and ohmmeters for troubleshooting purposes.
- Basic understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for electrical installations.
- Reliable transportation to job sites or to meeting place to ride in company vehicle.
Pay: $18.00 - $29.00 per hour
