Assist with the installation of wiring and electrical systems in commercial buildings.
Support lead electricians in troubleshooting and repairing system malfunctions.
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials on the job site.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project success.
Other Requirements:
One (1) to six (6) years of experience in the commercial electrical industry.
Position involves lifting, digging, climbing, drilling, cutting, clean-up installations
Must be able to operate all electrical hand tools
Must be able to install all overhead and in wall installations of conduit and wire
Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components
Install receptacles and switches
Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures
Hang and wire light fixtures
Install panel cans and interiors
Drill holes and pull wire/cable through walls and ceilings
Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter
Understanding of color codes on wires
Bend and run conduit, connect couplings, fabricate and secure conduit support brackets, using hand tools
Read/interpret blue prints
Practice job site safety
Majority of all work performed requires supervision
