Our office prides itself on providing quality dermatology care to all of our patients in Waterloo/Cedar Falls and the surrounding areas. In addition to our main location in Waterloo, we have a satellite clinic at Waverly Health Center in Waverly, IA.
In addition to general dermatology, we provide the following services:
- Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer.
- Dermatologic surgery for the removal of moles, cysts, and cancer.
- Aesthetic services including BBL/IPL treatments, microneedling, Botox, fillers, laser hair removal, chemical peels, and several product lines.
Full Job Description:
Seeking a hardworking and personable Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner, with prior experience working in dermatology. Must be kind, professional, reliable, and proficient with EMRs. The candidate will be collaborating with a board-certified dermatologist with a growing waitlist and a focus on medical and surgical dermatology.
The candidate should be comfortable with the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of conditions, including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, warts, and skin cancers.
Requirements:
- Prior experience employed and working in a dermatology, ENT, or plastic surgery office (Preferred).
- Ability to perform outpatient clinical procedures and minor surgeries, including shave and punch biopsies, cryotherapy, and minor excisions
- Excellent patient care skills
- Must be extremely reliable and highly adaptable
- Must be able to communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner
- Previous experience with EMA (EMR) is helpful
- Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner license and certification
- Training and certification to see all ages
Essential Functions:
- Perform initial and follow-up patient visits, including documentation of patient history and physical examinations
- Complete patient EMR charts in timely manner
- Analyze biopsy results and lab results to determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options
- Prescribe appropriate medications and manage refill requests
