Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Build warm, positive relationships with children and families
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Read books, sing songs, and engage children in meaningful conversations throughout the day
- Reinforce our literacy-forward approach by encouraging vocabulary development and language-rich interactions
- Incorporate basic American Sign Language and Spanish vocabulary into daily routines when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Follow all Bright from the Start regulations and Premier Childcare Learning Academy policies
- Work collaboratively with your Lead Teacher and fellow team members
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with toddlers or young children
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
Preferred
- CDA, TCC, or coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Experience with toddlers
- Exposure to American Sign Language
- Exposure to Spanish
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
