What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instrumentation Controls Technician - Night Shift position at Premier Candle Corp?
Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / Electrical Reliability TechnicianBuild Reliability. Improve Performance. Protect the Process.
At Premier Candle US Corp., we don’t measure success by how many breakdowns we repair.
We measure success by how many failures never happen.
Our maintenance team exists to improve equipment reliability, protect production, enhance product quality, and create a safer workplace. We believe maintenance is a competitive advantage—not simply a support function.
We’re looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Controls / Electrical Reliability Technician who is passionate about industrial automation, electrical systems, process instrumentation, and continuous improvement.
If you’re energized by solving complex problems, improving manufacturing systems, and taking ownership of critical assets, you’ll find a career here—not just another maintenance job.
Our Mission
Every control system should operate exactly as designed.
Every instrument should provide accurate data.
Every electrical system should be safe, reliable, and dependable.
Every technician should leave the plant better than they found it.
Your Mission
You’ll serve as the technical expert responsible for the reliability of our electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems throughout the manufacturing process.
Your work directly impacts production uptime, product quality, process consistency, energy efficiency, and employee safety.
This role goes well beyond responding to electrical failures.
You’ll be expected to improve the systems entrusted to your care.

· Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain pressure, temperature, level, flow, and position instrumentation.
· Support combustion systems, heaters, process temperature controls, and associated safety devices used throughout candle manufacturing.
· Maintain packaging equipment, conveyors, labeling systems, palletizing equipment, and automated material handling systems.
· Verify instrument accuracy through calibration and functional testing.
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, ladder logic, and OEM documentation.
· Assist Engineering with equipment upgrades, automation improvements, and capital projects.
· Support predictive maintenance initiatives using equipment condition and failure history.
· Utilize the CMMS to document repairs, calibrations, inspections, and reliability improvements.
· Participate in SBARs, After Action Reviews, Root Cause Analyses, and continuous improvement activities.
· Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost.
· Mentor maintenance technicians in electrical troubleshooting and automation best practices.
