- Manage inventory levels efficiently, ensuring proper stock rotation and compliance with storage protocols.
- Utilize pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions, medication histories, and medical management plans.
- Conduct patient assessments for medication therapy management, including pediatrics and critical care cases.
- Implement immunization programs and provide immunizations following medical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing training on pharmacy operations, medication administration, and medical terminology.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to HIPAA, acute care standards, and hospital policies.
Experience
- Proven experience in a pharmacy setting with strong clinical pharmacy background; hospital or infusion centers preferred though not required
- Knowledge of compounding medications using aseptic techniques and handling IV insertions or infusions confidently.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration protocols.
- Experience with inventory management systems and medication safety practices in hospital or outpatient settings.
