Night Shift Supervisor/Builder 6:30p-5a Sun-Wed

***This position is Sunday through Wednesday and hours are 6:30pm to 5:00am.

The primary function of this position is to oversee, facilitate and monitor the work flow of wall panel manufacturing operations, provide the administrative support to the production area, direct, train and provide guidance to production crew, as well perform all duties associated with each production line, in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations, ensuring all quality standards are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for shutting down the building every night per shutdown procedure
• Provides direction for personnel in the production of roof trusses.
• Monitor efficiencies within departments, such as labor demand, overtime needs, and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Maintain daily/weekly production goals.
• Works to build and maintain a highly efficient, highly skilled team of individuals and creates an atmosphere of accomplishment promoting employee retention.
• Ensuring loads are built accurately and efficiently.
• Cleanliness of equipment and yard
• Ensure personnel are follow all company and OSHA safety regulations.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in component production
• Must be familiar with MiTek equipment and software.
• Is detail oriented.
• Able to work overtime when necessary.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Forklift experience needed.
• Must have basic math.
• Strong work ethic

Job Hazards

• Exposure to mutable weather conditions
• Exposure to wood dust and debris
• Frequent lifting and carrying heavy and/or irregularly sized objects.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and crouching.
• Exposure to loud noise from machinery and tools

Physical requirements

• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to operate truss manufacturing related machinery and tools.
• Lifting material and equipment up to fifty pounds unassisted

Common Workplace Regulations

· Report all accidents to the Manager.

· Report unsafe conditions to the Manager.

· Be able to train employees on standard company policies, procedures as stated in the Employee Manual and Safety Manual

· Must wear PPE and use additional safety gear where required.

· Know emergency evacuation routes, exits, alarms, and procedures and be able to assist other employees in the event of an emergency.

· Must use proper lifting and carrying procedures.

· Smoking in designated areas only

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50 - $26.00 per hour
