Role and Responsibilities
Position Summary
Responsible for performing inspections, tests, and sampling procedures on incoming raw materials, components, and parts used in the manufacturing of over-the-counter (OTC), medical device, and cosmetic products, as well as partially assembled and finished goods. This role also includes reviewing quality records to support the release of finished products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of purchased components, subassemblies, and finished products according to established specifications using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurement tools.
- Identify nonconforming materials or products and perform rework or rejection as required.
- Conduct and document process and system audits in accordance with written procedures and audit standards.
- Accurately record inspection and testing results in accordance with documentation requirements.
- Maintain control documents, inspection records, and test documentation in an organized and timely manner.
- Coordinate calibration activities for all test equipment and fixtures.
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration compliance.
- Participate in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to inspection activities.
- Assist in drafting and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Evaluate quality issues and provide initial recommendations for corrective actions to supervisors.
- Collaborate with Production Management and Quality Control teams to provide feedback to assembly personnel regarding adherence to assembly procedures.
- Review Product Packaging Records and related documentation to ensure compliance with established procedures and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Support additional Quality Control functions as needed, including temperature and humidity monitoring, calibration activities, and other related tasks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong arithmetic and basic math skills.
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments and inspection tools.
- Minimum of 2 years of Quality Control experience in Receiving Inspection preferred.
- Experience working with CFR regulations, cGMP requirements, and FDA-regulated environments (food or pharmaceutical industries) preferred.
- Ability to quickly adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
