Job Description:
Premier Brands Group Holdings Inc. is currently seeking a Distribution Operations Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Control product flow through inventory by managing staff, receiving, storing, stocking and distributing product. Responsible for the success of assigned functions within a complex Distribution Center environment to ensure that it is an outstanding place to work.
•Direct Oversee day-to-day operations of finished goods through warehouse.
•Develops leadership team and provides daily oversight for all operational requirements for warehouse operational staff via training and career development.
•Oversees warehousing activities to ensure processes and procedures are understood and followed; oversees warehouse compliance for inventory management, labor management, cycle counting, product handling, and other services required.
•Troubleshoot and provide solutions for issues of a moderate to complex scope.
•Meet or exceed established goals relative to on-time delivery and shipping accuracy performance to customer shipments.
•Controls costs associated with facility operations.
•Manage the staffing level of approximately 300 employees with emphasis on overtime and work efficiency including movement of workforce.
•Control costs associated with purchases, maintenance and travel.
•Create a friendly, clean and safe environment for all employees within the facility.
•Work closely as a team with both Senior Directors of Distribution and other managers and engineer.
•Assist in review and development of supervisors.
•Ensure that all orders are processed in an effective and timely manner.
•Knowledge of labor laws such as unemployment, OSHA, FMLA, EEOC and ADA.
•Act in accordance with pre-established guidelines and processes
•Escalate issues to Director of Distribution/senior leadership
•Devising and developing effective communication between and among management and associates to promote associate morale and providing an environment conducive to achieving reduce costs and increased productivity.
•Distribution Center Management/Supervisors - support, communicate and recommend employee relations practices necessary to help in establishing a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee moral and motivation.
•Interfaces cross-functionally at all levels within the divisions of the company - daily communication and an exchange of information regarding warehouse operations procedures and processes to ensure meeting customer requirements.
People Leadership (i.e. management, motivation and development of staff as well as teamwork)
•Manages morale to minimize employee turnover and provide a workplace that encourages the growth and development of associates.
•Teamwork within the Management team.
•Expected to maintain strong teamwork and communications with co-workers to achieve common goals.
Requirements
•Minimum of two (6) to four (8) years experience in management.
•Previous experience in distribution or warehouse environment highly preferred.
•Demonstrated ability to use technology (MS Office, WMS, SAP & AS/400) to gather, interpret, analyze and present date.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function in an ever-changing environment.
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Salary Range: *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.
