Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain production machinery, equipment, plumbing systems, building structures, grounds, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities in support of the facility's Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment as needed.
- Replace and repair machine belts, bearings, motors, and related components.
- Clean machinery and equipment by removing dust, dirt, grease, and waste materials to maintain optimal performance.
- Paint machinery and equipment to prevent corrosion and maintain facility appearance.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, lighting, and related equipment.
- Repair and maintain walls, doors, windows, floors, ceilings, roofs, lockers, gates, and other facility structures.
- Repair or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other plumbing components.
- Open clogged drains and perform general plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Construct sheds, storage areas, and other small structures as needed.
- Perform minor excavation work, including digging ditches, trenches, and post holes.
- Assist senior maintenance personnel with larger maintenance projects and equipment installations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Observe and comply with all safety, health, environmental, and company policies.
- Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and experience will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility maintenance practices.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, diagrams, work orders, and maintenance schedules.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret charts and graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems involving multiple variables.
- Ability to interpret and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
