What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dyslexia Teacher position at Prelude Prep?
Teaching a child with dyslexia to read changes lives. We're looking for someone who believes every child can become a successful reader and who finds joy in helping students experience those breakthrough moments when everything starts to click.
At Prelude Prep, our intervention teachers are valued members of the instructional team. We provide support, collaboration, and the resources teachers need to do this work well.
Responsibilities
- Provide dyslexia intervention using an approved structured literacy program.
- Deliver explicit, systematic, multisensory instruction to students individually and in small groups.
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and families to support student success.
- Participate in Section 504 and ARD meetings as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with state and district requirements.
- Participate in professional learning and contribute positively to the school community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Dyslexia certification or required training to provide dyslexia services
Preferred
- Experience providing dyslexia intervention
- Knowledge of structured literacy and the science of reading
- Strong organizational and communication skills

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 plus benefits
