Position Overview:
The North America Sales Manager serves as the primary commercial interface for Preiser Scientific across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through direct customer engagement, strategic account management, and leadership of both outside and inside sales teams. The North America Sales Manager coordinates all regional sales activities, works closely with management and vendors, and maintains a portfolio of key direct accounts while overseeing sales representatives throughout the region. The role involves a balance of outside sales (up to 50% travel) and inside sales. This position is ideal for someone who is driven, organized, and able to build strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development for Sales
Manage and align inside and outside sales teams to ensure success
Participate in weekly management meetings and plan internal sales meetings
Review, analyze, and provide guidance on weekly sales reports and performance metrics
Prepare sales forecasts, projections, and performance analyses for North American markets
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow new customers and expand opportunities with existing accounts
Oversee sales activities throughout North America, including coordination with international distributors and partners in Canada and Mexico
Maintain and negotiate vendor relationships
Attend industry conferences, seminars, and trade events
Oversee local and regional sales promotions and marketing campaigns
Identify new market opportunities and strategic growth initiatives across North America
Travel, including overnight trips, is required
Maintain direct responsibility for key customer accounts
Stay current on all Preiser Scientific product lines and services
Introduce, demonstrate, and support new and existing products
Resolve customer issues or complaints related to products or services as needed
Advise customers and partners on company policies and procedures
Establish, maintain, and grow long-term customer relationships
Follow up on quotations, orders, returns, and service issues to ensure customer satisfaction
Accurately document sales activities and expenses through weekly reporting
Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards at all times
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, physics, marketing, business or relevant experience
Five years of industrial sales experience
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and chemicals
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips, attend trade shows domestically and internationally
Must relocate to or reside in the Saint Albans, WV area

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
