Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Part-Time Physical Education Teacher / Coach to inspire students through dynamic sports coaching and engaging physical education lessons.
The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong understanding of physical education principles to create a positive, inclusive environment that promotes physical activity and personal growth. PE Enrichment Program for elementary school students (K–6) in the Mission Viejo area.
Coaches will follow a structured curriculum that teaches students a variety of sports while promoting important life values.
Schedule: Every Tuesday, 9:00am – 1:00pm (Arrive around 1 hour early for set up)
Location: Mission Viejo, CA 92691
Duration: August 25, 2026 – June 8, 2027
Responsibilities
- Lead a large fun and engaging PE classes for elementary-aged students
- Teach sports fundamentals, fitness, agility, and teamwork
- Follow the provided curriculum and lesson plans
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Manage large groups of students effectively and professionally
- Set up and organize equipment before and after class
- Follows all school's SAFTEY Procedures.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of sports coaching techniques, classroom management, and childhood development principles.
- Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and school staff effectively.
- Ability to develop creative lesson plans that align with curriculum standards while integrating innovative learning methods.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students.
- Must successfully complete fingerprinting/background clearance requirements before working on campus
