Role snapshot — Danbury, CT

As a Protective Coatings Spray Specialist, you’ll prepare surfaces, mix and match finishes, and apply coatings that stand up to demanding industrial environments—while keeping quality, safety, and deadlines front and center.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean, sand, and prime industrial surfaces to prep for finishing.
  • Mix and color-match paints to required specifications.
  • Use spray equipment to apply paint, varnish, and other coatings.
  • Review finished work for quality and uniformity; make adjustments as needed.
  • Keep the work area clean and safe; follow all safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with teammates to meet project timelines and specifications.
  • Conduct routine upkeep on sprayers and related tools.

What you’ll need

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coatings training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in industrial painting or a related finishing role.
  • Knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
  • Strong team player who can also work independently.
  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.

Certification

  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
