The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of human remains from the place of death to their given destination, ensuring timely transfers while maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires a strong ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient recovery and transfers.
- Be proficient in Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during transfers.
- Monitor transfers to ensure timeliness within company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including transfer details and driver logs.
- Assist in troubleshooting any challenges that may occur during the transfer process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within the funeral or transportation industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with drivers and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of funeral home operations is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using phone systems for effective communication.
- A detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
