Location: Gardena, CA (In-person at our pediatric therapy clinic)
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- One hour of daily documentation time is built into your schedulePay Range: $45–$55 per session (based on experience)

Preferred Practice Therapy is a pediatric therapy company specializing in Early Intervention services for children birth to age 5. We support children with speech, language, social pragmatic, and developmental delays using a play-based, relationship-based, and family-centered model. Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you will:
- Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate therapy sessions focused on early communication and language development.
- Implement treatment plans designed and supervised by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Support Early Intervention services primarily in the clinic and, when applicable, in natural environments such as homes or daycare settings.
- Collect and record detailed session data to track progress toward goals.
- Use your built-in daily documentation hour to complete notes and prepare therapy materials.
- Communicate consistently with families and caregivers to support generalization of skills at home.
- Participate in a collaborative team culture where problem-solving, shared learning, and support are prioritized.
Qualifications
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License
- Passion for working with young children and families
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Coachable, adaptable, dependable, and motivated to grow
