Lead Pool Technician/ Mechanic

Location: Based in Fairfield, NJ — servicing North, Central, and parts of South Jersey
Schedule: Full-Time

Preferred Pool Management is seeking an experienced Lead Pool Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and capable of both diagnosing system issues and completing repairs start-to-finish.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose issues with commercial and residential pool systems
- Communicate findings to the office team and assist in drafting clear proposal language
- Perform equipment repairs and replacements (pumps, motors, filters, valves, plumbing, controllers, etc.)
- Restart and test systems to ensure proper operation after service
- Maintain accurate service notes and provide professional customer interaction
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in pool system diagnostics and repair
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with office staff and clients
- Competent in writing basic service descriptions/proposals
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
