Established Lake in the Hills company seeking a Installation Project & Schedule Manager to coordinate commercial furniture projects within a small project management team. Reporting to the General Manager, this primarily office-based role manages multiple projects, crews, schedules, customer needs, and correspondence in a VERY fast-paced environment. The position is approximately 90% office-based and 10% field site visits throughout the Chicagoland area and suburbs, with emergency visits as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with phone availability during off hours. Advancement opportunities include senior project management, expanded client or business development responsibilities, and operations management.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate multiple commercial furniture projects and construction crews concurrently.
- Track crew activity, project progress, and daily operational updates.
- Monitor projects and adjust schedules to address changing priorities and customer needs.
- Manage customer correspondence and maintain professional client relationships.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Organize project records and installation-related documents.
- Ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Identify and resolve project, scheduling, and coordination issues.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of experience in construction project coordination.
- Experience with construction scheduling and managing multiple crews, schedules, and jobs concurrently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with project tracking and construction documentation.
- Strong written communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and time-management abilities.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Furniture dealership/installation experience a PLUS
- Commercial moving/logistics
- Warehouse or fleet experience.
