Responsibilities
- Provide individual, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes, including crisis intervention and behavior management strategies.
- Deliver specialized therapies for populations including children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including case management and social work services.
- Engage in ongoing research and data collection to support clinical research initiatives and improve treatment outcomes.
- Provide telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure platforms while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines.

Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and trauma-focused approaches.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and clinical documentation standards for remote service delivery.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to mental health assessments and patient care documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines.
