What You’ll Do
- Ensure the safety of crew members and the public at all times
- Train and mentor asphalt foremen and crew members
- Plan and coordinate logistics, including truck scheduling and material flow
- Visit job sites to monitor progress, optimize resources, and ensure compliance with contracts
- Direct and coordinate crew activities to meet or exceed production goals
- Track time, materials, and costs, preparing accurate reports and adjusting schedules as needed
- Uphold company policies while recommending improvements in methods, equipment, and crew performance
- Supervise multiple crews, fostering teamwork and accountability
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or GED required; 3 years of asphalt/paving experience (or equivalent training).
- DOT experience preferred
- Strong math and problem-solving skills for calculating materials, costs, and schedules
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Solid record-keeping and computer skills (database knowledge a plus)
- Clear communication skills and the ability to lead by example
- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory abilities with a proven ability to motivate teams
