Office Manager – Central Florida Asphalt Region

Preferred Materials’ Central Florida Asphalt team is looking for a proactive, resourceful Office Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys being the go‑to person for keeping operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do
You’ll be the central hub for office operations, employee support, and administrative excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
Office Operations & Organization
- Establish and maintain office procedures that support efficiency, compliance, and exceptional customer service.
- Manage paper and electronic filing systems, correspondence workflows, mail processes, and shipping logistics.
- Oversee office supply purchasing, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate conference room schedules, meetings, and visitor management.
Administrative & Reporting Support
- Prepare reports that support accuracy, efficiency, and operational decision‑making.
- Track equipment utilization and employee training completion.
- Conduct research and compile data or statistical reports as needed.
- Assist with payroll functions, including hours verification, PTO tracking, and accurate payroll entry.
HR & Compliance Support
- Maintain personnel files in partnership with HR.
- Support regional and corporate reporting requirements.
- Serve as the EEO Liaison for the Central Region, supporting affirmative action efforts, bulletin board compliance, hourly recruitment, and onboarding.
- Assist with new hire orientations and promote a culture of inclusion and diversity.
Team & Event Support
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting agendas, and presentation materials.
- Support both office and field teams with administrative needs.
- Help plan and execute regional meetings and events.
What You Bring

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
- Knowledge of general office practices, accounting procedures, HR processes, and payroll fundamentals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, self‑driven mindset with a sense of urgency and ownership.
- The ability to work with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- A customer‑focused attitude and a collaborative spirit.
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of office management or administrative leadership experience
