Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Driver role based in New York, NY. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to pick up, transport, and deliver goods according to assigned routes and schedules. Daily tasks include loading and unloading freight, verifying delivery documentation, inspecting vehicles for safety and cleanliness, and following all applicable transportation and traffic regulations. The role also involves providing courteous, professional customer service at delivery and pickup locations, addressing basic customer questions, and communicating any issues or delays to dispatch or management. Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients and team members.
- Experience with Forklift Operation or similar material-handling equipment, including safe loading and unloading practices.
- Ability to participate in and support Training activities, including learning new procedures and helping peers adopt best practices.
- Exposure to Sales or service-focused environments, with an understanding of how reliable deliveries support customer relationships.
- Experience in Food & Beverage delivery or handling is beneficial, especially familiarity with temperature control and product care.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial license (if required by vehicle type) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of local and regional routes, traffic regulations, and basic vehicle safety checks.
- Ability to lift and move packages and freight safely, and to work on one’s feet for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience as a delivery driver or in logistics is a plus.
