We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our growing team!! Preferred Hospice has 5 offices in Missouri serving over 65 counties in the state.
The Dexter office serves all or part of the following counties: Dunklin, Pemiscot, New Madrid, Mississippi, Scott, Stoddard, Butler, Ripley, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Wayne, Reynolds, Bollinger
We are currently looking for an RN to function as part of our hospice team serving the Dexter office. Part time hours for now, some call required.
We are looking for the nurse who exhibits a thorough knowledge of the holistic approach toward patient care and the nursing process that applies to hospice patients and families.

Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person! We can teach you hospice regulations, medications, and charting. We are looking for nurses who know how to love and provide hands-on care to patients facing a terminal illness.

- Assist the patient, family and caregiver in coping with issues related to death and dying.
- Perform head-to-toe assessment and vital sign check on all assigned patients for the day.
- Consult with the physician and other members of the interdisciplinary team for the purpose of assisting them to understand all clinical needs.
- Assist in the development and revision of the hospice plan of care.
- Communicate effectively with all hospice staff and provide all support as needed.
- Provide nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support to the patient, family, and caregivers.
- Provide education to the patient, family, and caregivers.
