What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice CNA position at Preferred Hospice of Missouri?
We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our growing team!! Regional Hospice has 3 offices across Southwest Missouri.
We are currently looking for CNAs to work out of the Lebanon office. Will be PRN to start, but could easily work up to FT Hours.
We are looking for CNAs who can provide superior personal care to patients facing a terminal illness, as well as sitting with patients when needed for caregiver relief and/or through the last hours of life. Flexibility with scheduling is a must.
The Hospice CNA is an integral part of the Interdisciplinary Team and will perform the following duties:
Works closely with nurses, social workers, chaplains, physicians, and volunteers to provide high quality hospice care.
Provides high quality personal care to patients facing a terminal illness.
Follows through with the comprehensive nursing care plan as instructed by the RN.
Protects and respects patient and caregiver rights and privacy at all times.
Displays pleasant, courteous, professional attitude toward clients, general public, and nursing home staff at all times.
Makes visits wherever the patient resides---private home, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, hospital.
Document all visits in the electronic medical record in a timely fashion.
Sits with patients for caregiver relief and through the last hours of life.
Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some after hours needs from time to time. Flexibility with scheduling and hours a must.
Skills and Education Needed:
Must have a current, active CNA license in the state of Missouri.
Computer and smart phone skills for EMR charting, email, apps for mileage computation, etc.
Hourly rate plus mileage reimbursement.
