Role Overview: Serve as a first-line health care provider in emergency and civilian disaster situations, supporting Soldiers and civilians by delivering immediate and ongoing medical care.
Responsibilities: Administer emergency treatment to battlefield casualties, assist with outpatient and inpatient care, instruct Soldiers in Combat Lifesaver/First Responder courses, and manage medical readiness, supplies, and equipment.
Skills & Training: Develop patient care techniques, advanced medical skills, and plaster casting. Gain certifications from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT level or higher). Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
Qualifications & Skills: Enjoy helping others, communicate effectively under stress, have interest in sciences and math, and exhibit strong attention to detail. Must meet enlistment and citizenship requirements, be between 17-35 years old, pass a physical exam, and have a high school diploma or GED.
