Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment on oilfield construction sites by implementing safety protocols and compliance measures. This position requires a strong understanding of environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations. The Safety Advisor will work closely with project managers and site personnel to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections of job sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with project managers to assess risks associated with construction activities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain records of incidents, accidents, and safety audits; prepare reports for management review.
- Stay current on industry regulations, including NEC standards, workers' compensation laws, and compliance management practices.
- Assist in the development of safety policies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness among all employees through effective communication and engagement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a safety role within the oilfield industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS practices, and risk management principles.
- Familiarity with construction management software to track compliance and safety metrics.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to analyze data related to incidents and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Certification in safety management or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documenting processes and incidents.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
