What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor position at Preferred Child & Family Services?
Preferred Child & Family Services is seeking a qualified and compassionate Mental Health Counselor or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to join our team. The selected candidates will provide therapeutic services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or co-occurring disorders, including clients involved in Adult Treatment Court.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares and completes all necessary documentation and record keeping.
- Composes individualized daily notes that show accurate and personalized documentation regarding client's progress.
- Facilitates group therapy sessions
- Works with clients on an individual basis.
- Treatment plans, 90 day reviews & discharges.
- Provide updates and progress reports.
- Competent and knowledgeable in ethical standards and confidentiality matters.
- Experience with CRM system is helpful, but not required.
Requirements:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent)
- Certified or Licensed Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor

Must pass a enhanced background check through DHW.
Compensation:
Pay DOE (Depending on Experience and Licensure)
Minimum starting $20.00
