Responsibilities
- Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents with professionalism and friendliness, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning, sanitizing, and bussing
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, temperature control, and food safety compliance
- Help with meal set-up, tray assembly, and delivery to ensure timely service
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, food labeling, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Support the dietary department by performing cleaning duties and assisting with inventory management as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings is preferred
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving, and sanitation standards
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with food handling, safety procedures, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen or dining areas
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and respectful demeanor towards residents and team members
- Ability to work part-time hours reliably while adhering to safety regulations and dietary guidelines
- Culinary or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
